Committees

The IAA Education Committee supports the association through directing and designing quality and timely education programs.

Solicits feedback from members of the board and the general membership on IAA Education programs
Reviews with staff current curriculum and recommends or approves changes
Finds volunteers to help run IAA Education programs and events

The purpose of the Membership Committee is to:

Identify potential members of the association
Promote the association to potential members
Assist other IAA members to help grow the organization
Help research and plan Membership Drives, propose them to the Board, and implement them

The purpose of the Government Affairs Committee is to:

Work to ensure that the Political Action Committee fund has sufficient resources to fulfill the needs
Plan and propose PAC fundraiser events to the IAA board in conjunction with the Trade Show & Events Committee
Attend political events, hearings, rallies, protests and other public occasions on behalf of the rental housing industry

The purpose of the Events Committee is to:

Assist in creating a plan for various IAA events and creating proposals to present to the IAA board
Promote IAA events to other members and industry professionals
Provide volunteers to help run IAA events
Collect and provide feedback on events to the IAA staff

The purpose of the Associate Members Committee is to:

Identify potential associate members
Promote the value of the association to potential associate members
Provide an opportunity for associate members to network
Provide feedback on events, sponsorships, publications, classes and other topics to the IAA staff
Make proposals to the board in order to ensure that the needs of associate members are met
