2026 Tribute Awards Nominations

Who can nominate?

A regional or corporate supervisor must approve nominations. The nominations platform has a checkbox for this. You cannot self-nominate.

Who is eligible?

All multifamily employees are eligible.  

Submission Forms

Nominations are due by 11:59 pm on Friday, August 21st 2026. 

NO EXCEPTIONS 

Nominators must include letter of recommendation when filling out nomination form. This is a required field within the submission form.

Nominations and award submissions are non-transferable. Participants, companies, and properties will be listed in the award program and subsequent media EXACTLY as they appear on the official Nominee Form. Please ensure that the spelling is accurate.

IAA reserves the right to combine categories at its discretion. Additionally, we may choose not to present an award in categories that receive fewer submissions.

NEW for 2026:

The cost to nominate is $125. The cost is free to nominate in the following categories: Industry Partner of the Year (Individual and Team/Company) and Humanitarian Award (Individual and Team/Company).

All Individual nominees will receive an initial interview (this will be a virtual interview). This means all nominees will have the opportunity to speak about their experience, industry knowledge, and their impacts on their properties. 

After the first interview, the top five scores will be named as finalists and will advance to a second and final interview (this interview will be in-person).All award nominators must fill out a letter of recommendation for each person they nominate. There is a required field within the nomination process. The length of the letter of recommendation is at the discretion of the nominator.

Property categories:

Instead of a site visit like we have done in the past, we are asking you to submit 8 pictures that showcase each of the following items.

  • Community Entrance
  • Amenity Spaces
  • Signage around the property
  • Exterior of buildings
  • Shared common areas
  • Green spaces (florals, trees, mulch beds, bushes, water areas…etc)

The top 3-5 scores/properties from each category (finalists amount is at the discretion of IAA) will receive an in-person shop.

Photo Release:

Idaho Apartment Association (IAA) events may be photographed or video recorded. By participating in this event, you consent to your photograph/video recording being used for promotional purposes including but not limited to IAA promotional material, website, and social media.

Judging

We are committed to ensuring that our awards program is conducted with the highest level of integrity, transparency, and fairness. Each category is thoughtfully designed and regularly evaluated to reflect both the evolving standards of our industry and the meaningful contributions of our professionals.

Judges will be selected from outside Idaho and will be in the property management industry.

Finalists

The letter of recommendation of the nominator, Property Showcase Packets and interviews, will determine the finalist in each category. IAA will notify the finalists by the end of September.

If you are a finalist, your second-round shop or interview will happen in person In October (Exact date TBD). Please make sure you are available. We will have exact date for in-person interviews announced in September when finalists are called.

  • Sept 7 - Sept 18: First round of individual interviews (Virtual)
  • Sept 23 -30: Finalist called
  • Mid October : Shops and interviews of finalists (In-person)
