Professional Bio
Scott entered the swimming pool industry as a commercial operator in 1994 at a large Boise hotel. While at the hotel, he implemented many measures to improve efficiency, reduce maintenance costs and enhance bather safety. This included installation of chemical automation systems, automatic fill devices, transitioning to liquid feed systems, comprehensive preventative maintenance system, automated cleaning systems and upgraded filtration.
In 2000 Scott was recruited to enter the pool industry full time as a service manager for a local pool business. During this time Scott oversaw the service and repair of several hundred clients’ pools. Following the departure of several key employees, Scott was asked to assume the role of General Manager. During this time, the company was returned to solid profitability, a state the company had
not been in for several years.
Scott moved through several companies as a Service Manager, Retail Store Manager, Construction Manager/Estimator and Operations Manager before saw the opportunity to form his own company and founded Idaho Aquatic Services, LLC in 2013. Idaho Aquatic Services operates as Idaho Pool Remodeling. Idaho Pool Remodeling provides comprehensive pool related services including training, maintenance, pool inspections, expert witness services, consultation, repairs, remodels, ecoFinish installation, chemical automation featuring Prominent controls, as well as sales of chemicals and supplies.
In addition to operating the business, Scott sits on several standard writing committees within the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance.
